Building my own Mars robot

What do I need for my own low budget Mars robot ?

I only have a budget of $19.99 for the robot and $39.99 for the rocket.

If you go down to the grocery store and buy a Sunkist "Mars" for $0.99 you're all set!

Get the seedless Mars though.

I would think if you waited till after July 4th, you may be able to get the rocket at half pice!

I think Hot Wheels sells one of those for $6.95. Just tape it to a CO^2 cannister from Radioshack and you're all set, and underbudget to boot!

You need the NASA accounting package - should be able to run up a billion or so overspend without anyone noticing.

Hi All,

Actually, I picked up a robotics book at a local store that had a cheap project exactly like this... They built a basic BEAM like rover, and put it in/on a model rocket. When the rocket landed, the rover would automatically begin moving around it's new environment...

Just something to think about. Steve
