To do what? The simplest circuit is a battery and some switches nailed to a board.

you need lots more specifics. Motor draw is one big factor. However, here are some pointers: EDE1204 bipolar stepper motor IC Allegro 2916 Dual full-bridge PWM motor driver Allegro 3955 full-bridge pwm microstepping motor driver
These are all one-chip solutions that require minimal external circuitry. google stepper motor driver and you'll find lots of resources.
