I have been looking at the Congreve/US Rockets - Hi-Test 2225 kit. I was wandering if any of you chaps have one and any pic, vid, tip etc etc about it.

I *will* say that I've built two of Jerry's kits and am starting on my second now and I like his kits. With a three year old in the house, the airframes really take a beating and hold up nicely. I would suggest one.

I"m not sure which you are suggesting...

A beating, a three-year-old, or one of Jerry's kits...

Jerry - thats a very tempting rocket.... thinking of maybe using my rattworks K240 or the tri-brid and then the 12 29mm outter one to be air started say after burn out as a 2nd stage as i be using a G-wiz....

Dont have any vids of these rockets in action do you?

I have so much unprepped web content it is silly. Not sure if that is in there. But I do like your idea (see I don't take credit for everything) of a Hybrid central, especially Rattworks.

In principal that is perfect.

I would make sure liftoff is at least 5:1 thrust to weight ratio with a regressive thrust hybrid.

I also am finishing up the build for a US Rockets "Banshee". It has been pretty straight forward so far. The kit also comes with the the option for 24mm or 29mm motor mount. I will be flying mine on some Ellis Mountain G35 motors I have. The nose cone it comes with is machined balsa wood. The overall parts are good quality parts, a nice MPR. The only thing I am going to change is using a parachute instead of the streamer it comes with. I have a larger area to launch, so I am not too morried about drift.
