Kevin Bacon

Perhaps we should be really paranoid and start a "Kevin Bacon" web of people > we know, people who know people we know, etc.

Since I suggested it, and with apologies to any one I forgot to include (could be the result of posting under an alias I didn't recognize as someone I know), here's the names of folks who post to or are mentioned on RMR that I have personally met. To the best of my knowledge, none of them are BATFE agents.

This is level 1.

OK, tell me how the heck have you run into Jeff Gortatowsky?! Were you on the left coast during the time the battery died in the tracking device I implanted in the back of your neck at NARAM 43?

-John (Oh you don't remember, huh? Well, watch me make you type a reply!)

Ahah! I see your trip was in '97, before the implant. OK, I'll turn off the Kaplow tracker.... for now.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait a minute here folks....

There is one name which is CONSPICUOUSLY missing from Bob's list.

And by this VERY OMMISSION it makes it PAINFULLY obvious (to me) that he may be hinting / admitting that this man may INDEED be an agent....

That is not far from the truth. The NSA can simultaneously surveil hubdreds of thousands of people with all the computing power and back door access they have. You are not joking (even if you thought you were).

They can "surveil" me all they like. If they want to check, it would be easy to find out how much money I've lost in the rocket business over the last ten years. That should help when I'm hauled in on a charge of excessive rocket activity.

Meanwhile, it's nice to be on a list of "Friends of Bob Kaplow." Maybe that's the successor to the old Bulzscht Foundation. I still have my membership card...

Know how to make a small fortune in the rocket business?

Start out with a large fortune :-(

You should note that the list wasn't exclusively "friends", as Barry was on the list. But most of them are...

I think we object to random searches and BATFE regulation on 2 grounds:

1) It's illegal

2) It's a waste of my tax money that could be better used finding which rock Saddam and Osama are iding under. Or at least finding the truth in Washington DC.

And that would be??????

Remember there's a LOT of folks on RMR that I haven't met. And probably a good lot that I have met but don't remember. And a few I'd like to forget :-)

I've met you at least 3 times. The two NARAMs in California, and you were at NARAM-21 in Houston. We were on the "podium" together to get our Dual Eggloft medals.

I can't believe I forgot Tai Fu! After the famous picture of Neil, Tai, and myself at NARAM-44 last summer.

I've updated the list and put it at

Bob,

I ran into your wife down at the Ardmore NSL a few years ago. I just stopped by for a few minutes and walked through for a quick look at all the models. Does she count? ;) You were out at a pad or something, I guess. I took a quick look at some of your odd-rocs and had about a 30 second conversation with her.

We were visiting my inlaws, and I didn't have time to fly, so I just walked through. I was headed to Huntsville with my wife and mother-in-law for an afternoon of boredom...uh, shopping. Talk about a miserable weekend...

IIRC, I only stopped talked to your wife, to George about his rocket powered Zagi, and to a couple guys from HARA that I knew from flying at the old airport in Huntsville (on other visits to the inlaws).
