What's the penalty for purchasing >62.5 g. without an LEUP?

I don't see any definition of penalty for the attempted (or successful) purchase of APCP in excess of 62.5 gm/motor in the "safe explosives act". Is it to be found somewhere else? The SEA describes the penalty for not reporting theft within a specified timeframe, but I don't see the "illegal procurement" penalty.

Does anyone know what uncle Sam sees as fit punishment for this crime? Sorry if this was discussed before and I missed it (???).

Under the SEA most of the violations are now felonies. upwards of $100k fines or more + up to 10 years in federal pen.

I didn't see the section where they play loud rock and roll music 24hours a day for a week, then burn your house down.

I suppose that the use of Military personel to deliver fly and drive all that hardware did not violate the Posse Comatotas either!! I know our government is our friend they would do nothing wrong like, send BATF into the biulding like storm troopers to serve a warrant they could have served on one of many of Koresh's treks to town. Then when it looks bad claim they are there because of child abuse, not in BATF's juristiction, an alligation local welfare officials found no evidence of, and then when things are not finnished fast enough they find it easier to kill the whole lot to have the mess off the nightly news.

True, but perhaps they contibuted to the environment that motivated the migration to "Jonestown". Then again, we can probably relate this back to Kevin Bacon.

BTW, the FBI is so busy chasing shadows that they can't be bothered with investigation of real bank robberies anymore.

For starters, not having paid a small tax is the 'justification' for the Waco assault. Second,a couple of unarmed agents could have approached the place, asked to inspect the items and paperwork or lack of such, and then if refused,an assault would be justified.A 'no-knock' armed assault by dozens of ATF agents rightly should have been repelled.

Then,ATF has no jurisdiction over child abuse or drug manufacture, either.

Why is it when a citizen does someting stupid and as a result if his initial actions if someting follows that involves injury or death he is charged with homocide.

But when a cop does something that results in the same or worse is not only not criminally charged, but forgiven entirely and the "victims" are often vilified for being so bold as to TRY to hold the police to the same standards as "other" citizens.

Several reasons I can think of, Jerry. 1. "He brought it upon himself by not being like the rest of us." People tend to treat other people who are "different" in some way, as a threat. If they can justify what happened as being because someone was Different", then they perceive safety. "That happened because THEY were different from us, therefore, it can't happen to me because I WOULD NEVER BE THAT Different." In other words, "Things like that don't happen to normal people. Because I am normal, it can't happen to me. I am safe". 2. To justify bad decisions and actions. "We had to do it because THEY did this, and were a THREAT to the rest of us normal, peace-loving folks". CYA. Also job-security. 3. To justify being a bully, robber, killer, etc. "You were a bad person for exercising your rights, therefore it is your fault, not mine, that I beat you up, shot you, burned you, your home and friends alive, invaded your nation, etc." It is a way to escape responsibility for ones actions. "I'm not responsible for what I did to you, because you were the bad guy, I had to do it." There is also a problem of having to protect the illusion of government being for the good of all, and infallible. In our form of government, the government acts as the agent of each one of us. If the government makes a big mistake, it should be held accountable for its actions. But most of us are too busy, or don't want to get involved, in what it would take to do that. So, if we can agree that the police were justified in their actions because the victims were "bad people", it shifts the responsibility to the victims, not us or the police. Granted, there really are some bad people out there, and they should be dealt with as required. But, to use the best combat tank in the world to destroy a group of American citizens (in violation of Federal law) under trumped-up charges, and then justify it by "doing it for the children", (while burning those same children to death) shoud have been sobering, to say the least. For a while, ther was a bumper sticker that read "Is your church ATF approved?" The scary part is not that such things happen, it is that, by not holding government accountable, the people of the United States approve and condone such things. Can such a people understand, much less defend liberty and freedom? Draw your own conclusions on that, I know what mine are. And that is why I fear for my country and people. Sorry to be so long-winded, I'll get off the soapbox now, and get back to work.
