Loser gets HPR and winner gets the "keep the change account".
Maybe we should have them run around naked in tennis shoes and hunt them will paintball guns. No hits gets you the allegedly embezzled money. Not sure anyone would want to buy the video tape though. ;)

You are SICK!!! Visualizing that < an hour after waking up & not having had breakfast does bad things to my stomache.

Nope, didn't fold in half. Unfortunately, we did minor damage erecting the beast, and that appears to be where our apogee failure points were
-- it was designed to recover in three pieces. We had two "bonus" pieces that broke off at apogee, and both were where we had cracked the tubing while erecting the rocket.
Cluster of 3 AeroTech J260 hybrids. 54mm, and the motor tubes all fit nicely inside.

Very cool!!!
Did you get a lot of extra drag launching it sideways?

Interesting rocket, interesting video (sideways). It does look like it folded though :-(
Tom
who flew the gian wine bottle?
Hey, on a special project, you try what you think will work... 8-}

That's a "launch pad" for a giant bottle rocket that's sticking out the top of it. The bottle rocket flew fairly well, although we were all hoping they'd fly the bottle....

I beat Tom! I beat Tom! Less than 10 seconds here.

I heard a gauntlet hit the floor... 3.9 seconds from first click to audio and first motion.

No no no, not to first motion but completely downloaded, as I saved it to a file. It takes my POS desktop longer to open the file than it does to download.
Hang on...let me knock everyone else off the firewall and take the bandwidth choke off line...but first I need to unplug the switch and brew some coffee. ;-)
Hmmmm......

Dave Schaefer told me at lunch that it had a chute, and that it was deployed and recovered successfully.

Yep, it did indeed have a parachute. And it flew just dandy.
It was actually the SECOND bottle rocket to fly; someone in our club has a smaller one that has flown several times.

I'm not interested in flying a scale dup bottle rocket. I'm interested inthe huge food container. Any one know where I can get one? Bigger than the blow molded plastic coke bottle banks in the toy stores.
