Naram 48 Coins - Need Help

Ok first why ? Well I just want them. its that simple.

SO why dont I ? Cause I cant afford it and the likely hood of me selling enough to even break even is low.

What I propose ?

If I can get 3 others to Split the cost with me I think it would be tolerable even if NONE are sold. IE I am willing to pay $100 just not willing to pay $400 (thats what it costs for 100 of them)

So the proposal is 4 of us split it evenly and we split the resulting coins evenly you do with them as you please. Keep them sell them whatever.

I would like each of us to donate 3 coins to Naram. thats 12 coins. I figure some for the auction and some for the ones Running Naram 48 (It would be nice but not required your share is yours to do with as you please)

I just want some for me really and cant justify or afford so much for just the few that I want for my own self.

Anyone willing ?

Here is the design I came up with

I would drop the geocoinstore.com address this leaves space for FOUR web urls' (if there short enough) around the circumference or the coin. I figure the URL or even just the NAME of each of the 4 (ie 3 of you and me) people who chipped in to make this possible.

we could also go 5 ways thats only $80 a pop I know I can afford that :-)

Let me know if anyone is interested.

Think of it as a straight up purchase. $80 20 coins $100 $25 coins (depending on if we can 4 or 5 people)

thats is. you can do anything you want with your coins there all yours. I would retain no rights to the coin or design etc.. free for all so to speak. I just want some badly and this is the only way I can think of to get them.

This is something I would LOVE to see happen every year ! maybe in the future I can just afford to buy them but this year I am not so lucky. I just can't afford it.

I am pretty sure the price is $400 for 100 Coins - I am asking the guy to look over the design and confirm total price for the design as is.

I'll assume that you are talking about 'coins' like the "unit coins" used by the military and now fashionable with aerospace companies.

I have never seen one sold that had names of designers or advertising (URLs) on it.

If you put the NAR logo on there, it had better have the "c-in-a-circle" copyright thingy and permission from the NAR to use it on an item that will be sold.

Chocolate coins are good, too.

Here are some links:

I've got a big pile of licensed Sacagawea Chocolate Golden Dollars right in front of me at this very moment.

Aaacckkk! I've just got two words to say: "Belt Buckle".

It took NARTS over 15 years to finally get rid of all of the NARAM-30 belt buckles from Matt's last NARAM. I'm pretty sure that the contract with Matt for NARAM-48 prohibits any metal objects being made for NARAM-48.

Bob,

What makes you think that they are all gone. I saw at least one at Bills in the past few years.

Probably his memento for many successfull years running NARTS. Executives get a gold watch. Bill gets a NARAM-30 belt buckle :-)

There hasn't been any stock at NARTS at NARAM, nor a donation to the auction the past couple years. Bill swears we're really out of them. And the new NARTS manager knew nothing of them.

Trust me, they're all gone. When I was packing up the NARTS stuff for Tom I was afraid I'd find one. I didn't. I have none. Tom has none. However, he does have a bunch of NARAM 30 programs. Matt must have gotten a good quantity discount.

I am talking about metal coins

Basically "I" want some for me. I just can't afford to buy that many. I was hoping others might want some as well. you dont have to sell them. I dont plan to sell them though I guess I could sell the 10 I will have left if that.

I just think it would be neat to have them is all. if anyone is willing to do this they can do what they want with theres. Keep em give em away try to sell them. Does not matter to me.
