No blacks in the JPL mission control?

I'd sincerely be interested in any history books you have written, Reece

my education would have benefited greatly from your objectivity

You're one of maybe 10-15 who consistently agree with or support Jerry no matter what. You're not in the 8 out of 10.

When his name comes up at launches it's usually accompanied by several derogatory remarks. I do know I would never send any $$$ his way.

Yep, and probably a TRA conspiracy somehow. Did that Delta use certified motors? ;)

Actually, at pretty much all of the launches I've been to, most of the "politics" and "history" that's discussed here on the net just doesn't come up...

Hmmm...futile gestures...sure sounds like me!

Jerry,

I see a far greater challenge, with great echoes to the Revolutionary War.

"Hang together, or hang separately."

Adams (for the defense!) certainly didn't portray Attucks as a bystander at the trial. He was the typical super-powerful black bogeyman that the British had to kill.

Someone's been revising history. I'll agree with that.

Man, the vertebrate - invertebrate split was a while back!

If you're going to do that, heck, let's go back to yeast. It used to be that some biochemists thought any gene not seen in both yeast and humans wasn't worth studying!

There are a few organisms that don't use the exact DNA code that we do, but it's pretty close. That being the case, every living thing on this planet is related to every other living thing.

That's one of the interesting things about finding life on Mars or somewhere else that arose independently. Just how constrained are we to our particular form of life?

According to the last Discovery tv show I saw on the subject, my ancestors were here at least 9000 years ago. ; )

So that trolls from Altopia can have something to troll about.

There's no other reason to use alt.net, is there?

I agree, but then, it was Adams job to villianize Attucks in his defense of Capt.. Preston and the others. A careful reading of the events leading up to the incident should convince even the most biased reader that relations between Bostonians and the British troops were very strained.... and that's being generous. An incident a week earlier at a rope making shed where a colonial boy got into a fight with a British soldier who was "scabbing" as a laborer helped to set the stage for the events. Add a generous amount of rum and beer, a greatly under staffed customs house guard and some very young and scared British conscripts and you have a recipe for disaster. Attucks was part of the mob. He also had been drinking. The mob was tossing ice chunks and large sticks at the troops. Someone yelled "fire", know one knows for sure. What is unchallenged is that the mob was baiting the troops. Attucks got in the way...not exactly the stuff of heroes but not exactly the stuff of shrinking violets either.

I wonder, has there ever been a thread here that didn't eventually get a Jerry anti-TRA comment??

I'll just have to settle for being well hung. ;)

Maybe if we start a thread that's titled "Jerry and Tripoli: Threat or Menace", and let topic drift set in (as it usually does)...

Let's see. Is there Black discrimination at JPL in Pasadena, CA the center of whitiehood? No it is primarily demographics.

Is there a discrimination of women? Nope they all dress like men at JPL.

Is there a TRA conspiracy? Nope TRA is not even a mere pimple on the ass of JPL.
