ROL NEWS--SierraFox Hobbies Launches Enhanced Website

SierraFox Hobbies Launches Enhanced Website April 28, 2006 Web posted at: 6:33 PM EDT

(ROL Newswire) -- SierraFox Hobbies has completely revamped its website. Stefano Figini, owner of SierraFox, says "after six full years of business it was definitely the time to upgrade from a simple, straight HTML website with a rudimental ordering system, to an up-to-date e-commerce system with full descriptions, pictures, a shopping cart, online credit card payment, and all the features needed in a modern online shop."

The new SierraFox Hobbies website accepts now the most common methods of payment, which includes online credit card payment via 128-bit SSL secure server, PayPal and wire transfers. A great care has been put on the security side, so neither the customer passwords nor the credit card numbers are readable from the system administrators. Credit cards numbers aren't even stored in the system, but they are managed by the bank only and cannot be accessed by SierraFox at any time. The system has some features not usually found in online rocketry shops: it automatically does not allow the purchase of restricted products from customers without a valid certification, it is designed to sell any rocketry-related software also by download, and it is configured to sell products from third-parties. This feature can be interesting for those small companies or even single persons who has developed a product and wants to sell it to a wide public. By selling it through SierraFox they can have a larger customer base and a ready-made e-commerce site without any additional cost, and this service is totally free of charge: no sales, no costs.

Finally, there is an opportunity for webmasters as well: with a simple cut&paste any webmaster can become affiliated and earn from every sale generated by his website. SierraFox Hobbies will be soon a source also for unusual products like Rapier motors and other hard to find items nad has a section dedicated to Out-Of-Production rocket kits.
