And that led me to a google search. It looks like we had this conversation (and coming to the same conclusion) 9 or 10 years ago, back in the Golden Era of RMS!

I would like to nominate the Tauro 1/48 MC205. It was expensive and poorly engineered. The parts didn't fit and I had to substitute wings from a Smer MC200 and an engine from an ESCI Me-109G to complete it!
