Building an old style Tamiya Sherman and they show you can add extra tread sections to the front. Easy enough to just glue them on, but there is nothing there that you would attach the treads to. Pretty sure they are not staying on by their own weight.
Same goes with the bogies. I've seen pics of them just stuck on the side of the turret.
How are they really stowing all this stuff?

As far as the tracks go, they may well have been welded onto the tank; they were a rather desperate attempt to increase the armor protection on the front hull, the way that stacking sandbags or pieces of lumber on it was. As far as the road wheels go, could they be slipped onto rods welded to the hull as a field modification?
