There are lots of tracks -- alas, DML does not sell their "Magic Tracks" separate from the kits. But there are Model Kasten, Fruil and several resin ones on the market; perhaps one of the German fans can tell you which is best. '
Big thing is -- which Pzkw. IV model is it? (the Ausfuerung letter!)

it's the aus j sdkf 16 1/2 which tracks would be best or are the kit tracks acceptable. meaning do they look right? this kit was red tagged for $16. so it was less than half normal for ht.

The kit tracks are fine for the soft plastic medium, but Panzer IV's generally had visible track sag between the return rollers, which band type tracks do not represent well. Any Panzer III or IV track with the solid guide teeth will work on this variant. Friul and Model Kasten offer several types. Gerald Owens snipped-for-privacy@some.doma> >
