Current Airfix packaging

A couple of years ago I bought a few of the Airfix 1/48 E.E. Lightnings, I still have a few put away , today I bought a couple more of the F2A / F.6 version (I know I should build the others first, but I promise to castigate myself later), on opening the box of the new arrivals I was struck by the different level of packaging inside.

The original kits had each sprue wrapped in a polyethylene bag with the clear sprue in its own little wrapper. and the protection sheet on the decal was securely attached. the new kits (in Airfix's new style box, had all the sprues loose in the box with the clear parts loose and in both kits the main canopy had become detached, and in one kit has been slightly damaged.

Now in my opinion this is a retrograde step and again shows Airfix to be not listening to the kit buyer.

I'm disappointed to say the least, but it is good to see the kits on general release again.
