USMC versions are simply AV8A, AV8B, and TAV8B...straight out of the NATOPS.
Even though there are Day Attack, Night Attack, and Radar variants of the basic airframe, they are all officially still designated AV8B.

Not forgetting the AV-8B+, AV-8S, TAV-8S and EAV-8B...
Are they still popping those out? It's a very simple kit and you're quite right about them being pricey. I spent about $8 for mine years ago and the shop owner said he'd never order anymore since they weren't 'worth' the price.
