IM BACK!

Hope everyone is OK!

I managed to find a small hobby shop in Zittow, Anett is moving there next month for 4 months to study and while she was in a clothes shop i saw the model shop accross the strasse, so got myself some 48th GDR markings and a nice little FW190. Her father loved the MIg21 i made for him, lots of the family saw it as it was her parents 25th wedding Aniv.

My trip last week was a bit hectic, early in the morning, 200km before Berlin the coach caught fire, it was a double decker and i was at the front asleep like most people, someone saw me asleep upstairs and had to go back on to wake me, the damn drivers got off first and didnt wake people apart from a quick message over the intercom thing in German and didnt speak English........anyway no one was hurt.

Went to Poland a couple of times, and CZ too. Again the border patrols stopped me for a long time, was ok tho. Got a loaf of CZ beer, vodka and ciggerettes.

Last day i went to a large fortress, Festung Konigstein. Pretty cool.

I have learnt one thing, i always thought as did most English people, that the Germans drank beer in huge amounts, well Anetts family kept saying to her that they had never seen anyone drink so much, the party started at about 12pm with a meal with family in the garden, where i had beer and at least 10 whiskys with her grandparents then after a quick change of clothers everyone went for a evening meal where her young cousins tried to get me drunk on jagermeister? anway atfer 15 at least, more beer etc i was still sober. oh well, at least the beer was better than the English crap we have here, i refuse to drink it.

My next model project is some v old Saxon soldiers, with a canon or 2 as would have been in the fortress for a little display in a case for her dad again.
