Jerry Cans in 1/35?

Can anyone recommend some decent 1/35 German WWII mid or later jerry cans? I grabbed a set of the Tamiya ones at the HL the other day, only to discover what's inside doesn't match the three handled can pictures on the outside.

Thanks in advance, Eric

The old Tamiya sets are . . . old. They have new, better, ones in some of their kits, IIRC. The Italeri sets, while also old, are still pretty good. Academy makes a set that is also acceptable, I've heard. There is a new set from Tasca/Bego that are supposed to be great, but they cost something like $3/can.

I figured it was common knowledge regarding the Tamiya "two-handled" Jerry cans...seeing that it was covered in Shep Paine's books....

The Italeri ones are quite nice. And numerous resin casters have them as well.

Yeah, I remember that in Paine's armored modeling book. Judging by the pictures on the box, and the pics they have online which both show 3 handled ones, I figured that Tamiya must have updated their kit...but I guess not. But no big deal, it was at HL's 50% off sale anyway.

And you can still use these, in situations where the handles will not be visible (i.e. partially under a tarp, embedded in a pile of stowage/gear or rubble; etc.)
