New Years Resolution (early)

I will totally ignore political postings on RMS. They are a waste of time as they do not change anyone's attitude, and they clog up the news group.

You forgot that Vess helped change Kurt's wife's mind. ;-p

And remember, in a hobby in which the subject matter is often-times of things of a politico-historical nature....it is *impossible* to

*not* "talk politics". We do not avoid it at "modeler get-togethers", so we can not avoid it here. It is natural, and healthy....

One of the biggest news stories this past year, regarding Nascar, was Jesse Jackson's "demands" that there be more Black drivers.

One of the biggest stories, in recent years, regarding airliners, involved some things that happened on 09/11/01.

I think those kind of entered the political arena...

:o)

I suppose that if you look hard enough, you can pretty much connect everything with everything else.

Or find good things about a bad situation or bad things about good situation.

Just human nature... Now, if most of us could just get along peacefully...

Neah. It'll never happen.

We just held a very hotly-contested election. Looks like everybody's going about their everday lives. Seems pretty peaceful here in the US to me. :)

I was thinking on a grander scale than just the good ol' superpower (US of A). We (me included) sometimes forget that we aren't the God's gift to the world. Yes, there is a big world out there...

And, it isn't so peaceful if you consider American soldiers dying in Iraq. They are Americans too.

Four-more-years...

I apologize for not being able to read your mind.

Tell it to the 50 million Muslims we freed from tyranny in Afghanistan and Iraq. I won't even mention Kuwait, or the Balkans, or....

No! I never would have known had you not told me. I must have missed it while I lived in Thailand, Germany, Japan, Turkey, and Canada. I've managed to merely visit a few other countries as well; I suppose I missed them too.

Let's not forget the free Iraqis and our other allies that are also dying in Iraq. There's a big world out there, after all...

Having served 20 years in the US Army I especially appreciate their service and sacrifices. I certainly don't need to be reminded that they're my fellow Americans, and that they're true patriots.

The American electorate came out in near-record numbers and peacefully endorsed President Bush. Ain't freedom wonderful?

I won't even mention Kuwait, I wouldn't mention Kuwait either. Last I heard, the Emir was still running it like his own Plantation. Like Saudi Arabia, it's one of the few places where Saddam Hussein would be an improvement. Kim > (early)

I suspect that the Kuwaiti people would beg to differ with you, and even backwards Saudi Arabia is a paradise compared to Saddam's Iraq. No mass graves, you know....

Amen!

God bless us all, everyone!

You are true international expert and a real Patriot! I'm so glad there are so many people like you in this wonderful country! :-) Peteski
