Question on cleaning resin parts.

Hi everyone, I'm working on a Karaya Ansaldo Balilla kit, and want to wash the parts to remove all the mold release agent. I'm soaking the parts in Westley's Bleche-white tire cleaner per a previous post. My question is how long I should soak the parts, is a few minutes followed by a warm water rinse good, or should I soak them overnight? Thanks, Dave

The best way that I have found to clean resin parts is a scoth brite "gray" pad using any standard dishwasher detergent and a little scrubbing. Just soaking them has never really worked for me

What works well for me is to use a detergent and gently scrub with an old tooth brush. You need some mechanical action to get the stuff off the surface. As you build the model and handle it, it will be picking up prints from the oil in your skin. It's a good idea to wash it again before you paint -- a must if you are going to use a natural metal finish.

I'd let them soak for at least a few hours.
