CL-44 fanatics say that the Welsh kit is not the most accurate. There are rumours that Densil will be retooling the master to make it better. Mine is mostly done, and I have seen it finished really well. It looks like a CL-44 to me.
Most importantly for the friend, the Welsh kit is a CL-44-J, which is longer than the ones Flying Tigers flew. He'll have to shorten it to get an accurate model, and he may have to rework the windscreen area if the one he's modelling had the Britania style windscreen.
The kit has white metal landing gear, and metal props are available from Aeroclub. Kit and props may be had from
