For those of you interested in either the B-36 or the P-38, here's a deal for you. Scale Publications produces a CD-ROM on each. The first is B-36:Moving The Last Peacemaker. 875 b&w photos showing the last B-36 ever built being dismantled, moved and reassembled (several times) over a seven year time frame. Many shots of the aircraft in pieces showing details that are never seen after the aircraft is built. Also, many ideas for dioramas, including the wing standing alone, supported on a steel beam framework. Another possibility is the wing being transported on the highway.
Second is the Lockheed P-38 Lightning Gallery (Including the XP-58 Chain Lightning). This one contains some 350 photos of the P-38 variants and 40 shots of the XP-58. Most shots are b&w for obvious reasons, but the disc does include a number of color WW-II shots of F-5 recon birds and other variants. You'll also find many nose art shots and cockpit photos.
Normally selling $19.95 each plus $5.00 shipping, they're available for the next two weeks for only $10.00 plus $5.00 shipping worldwide. Total is $15.00 each. Thumbnails of selected photos contained in the discs can be found at
