I've a model of the Revell FireFighter ship in my 'to be built' stash and have a question re: the water nozzles/cannons or whatever the proper term is. Would it be appropriate to remake these plastic units in brass such that they were shiny? Living in the desert there are no examples to look at (let alone any water!) for ideas on how to make the kit look 'better' nor do I know if they really are brass(?) or maybe black in color.
Also, what is the proper term for such a boat/ship so that I can search the net for some pictures etc of real ones?
