strange days at michaels

Dropped by the local Michael's the other day, they being one of the few places you can actually see a model kit any more, and they were clearancing out a bunch of diecast car kits at $4.99 but also a few of the Jada GarageWorx, but they were out of everything but one lone GarageWorx Ford GT. . Seemed worth it so I dragged it over to the register where it rang up for $.01. Cashier didn't bat an eye. I went to the other Michael's within reasonable driving distance, but they didn't have anything marked clearance $4.99, so I thought I'd tell you guys in case one of you might also get lucky at your local emporium.

I protested the Testors paint rack at my local Michaels. They have been out of several colors for over six weeks. The manager says it is computer restock- nothing she can do about it. That is the easy, don't-make-waves approach. She could squawk that the program doesn't have the right schedule. She was also out of Krylon Primer for quite awhile. I've stopped going there.

The only times you will find me at Michael's is when I have a 40 50 % coupon in my hand otherwise don't even bother
