Trumpeter USS North Carolina - Thoughts?

Hey All, Just got the Trumpeter USS North Carolina in 1/350 scale for Christmas. The kit looks great in the box. Any pros/cons/opinions/gotchas that anyone has experienced? I seem to recall somewhere that someone was saying Trumpeter didn't get the kit right, but I don't remember exactly what that was about. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks! Jonathan

Enjoy building it, it looks like the North Caroline to me. You will need to add PE to it, since 1/350 ships look bare if they don't have railing and rigging.

However, I think I would start with a comprehensive set where the railings are specific to the areas of the ship, and are not simply generic three rail railings.

Now, I have to admit I have not pursued that for the North Carolina, so I really can't say what product to use. So, White Ensign, Gold Metal Models, Toms Modelworks, and Flagship Models should cover the field pretty well.
