Not that extraordinary. It's also happened recently, though in a different context...such as 4:56 a.m. on January 2, 2003.

Well, yes, if you're in America. The rest of the world uses dd:mm:yy (or yy:mm:dd), not mm:dd:yy.

Using N.Z type sequence, it will happen again on May 4th.
