I am going to use Vaseline to remove sticker residue from a plastic R/C car. If I leave it on overnight will it hurt the plastic or do anything that will keep primer/paint from sticking? I do plan on giving the car multiple soapy baths.

better is goo-gone at wally world. rinse with a little soapy water and run along.
