Assembly level custom props to part docs
I am trying to (to see if I can) have custom properties, in an assembly, be propagated down thru the part files,
*without code*anyone have any tricks? Ill even go from Assy -> dwg-> part if I have to....
The closest thing I can think of is to have the custom properties driven by design tables. The design tables would have to be linked to external files. I have a faint notion that they update when the files are opened, but I'm not sure.
It would probably be easier to use a downloadable custom properties manager that can process whole folders full of files. The assemblies would be updated at the same time as the parts.
