Colored wire frame?

SW2003 When I'm looking through an assy in wire frame every thing is black line. How can I get the wire frames to appear in part designated color?

Aaron, In the assembly right click the part and go appearance, color... It will only change the color of the part in that assembly but it will give you multi color wire frame.

Thanks. A bit of a pain. Wonder why it doesn't default.

Aaron, Go to tools>options>colors and de-select "Use specified color for Shaded With Edges mode. It should use the part color after that.

You're (probably) using the default wireframe color in all your parts

Try this: Tools/Options/DocumentProperties/Color check box-- Apply same color to Wireframe/HLR/and Shaded

That option is grayed out in my Assembly file.

Oh! I get it now. Do it in my part files and it will work in my assembly files. Now I have to open up my entire data base of parts and change that setting. :)

Thanks,
