The Maxwell Render add-in causes a lot of instablity when saving and opening files. Not sure if you have a copy of Maxwell or not, but it does pay to disable it when not in use.

ahhhhh....I am a slow genius then :o) ...detached dwgs! why have I misunderstood this for so long :o(
And to add to the list:
The random lines were apparently a problem with the sheet format. I changed to another and then back and the random lines went away.
New to the list are disappearing edges on part when there is an underlying hidden line. I had to sketch in a line manually to kludge it into submission. Differences in print output depending on whether it goes to the HP plotter or the AllinOne printer/copier. Fonts on the plotter print mysteriously changing to fixed font. And more hidden dimensions reappearing. Dimensions and notes moving around depending on which printer is selected. And from a standards point of view when a detail view is connected to it's source circle with a line should the detail label be suppressed? We think so because there will be no label on the source circle. Oh, and did I mention that when plotting D size the foot notes were shifted into the title block border but were not so shifted on B size plots.
And of course a few more crashes >
This is list is scary shit - all in one model/drawing ? I have come across most of the above, at different times but never in one bomb. That file could almost be classed as nuclear !

Just plotted another stack of D size prints. Again the fonts were screwed up on a few sheets. So they will have to be plotted again.
I'd have to agree. The drawing creation side of SW is really lacking. Its got great amount of potential but in the end.. thats all it is, potential. its no where near being tapped into. I thought hte whole reason for CAD was to produce drawings? Why the hell cant i inport full properties of the parts/assms, every single ltitle detail should be linked. I should be able to split, cut re cut, detail, crop the detail and show the damn view with one parts hidden lines removed for clarity all in one go with out a hitch!!
But i'm flat out showing one item's hidden lines removed at all! I wont go near the rest... :(
