Help Please!!!

Hello All,

Once upon a time I read about a place like Quickparts that offered quick injection molding of small quantities. But... I can't seem to remember the name of the place and of course it's not in THIS months Desktop Engineering mag. Also, maybe a shout from anyone who has used this service, and what they thought about it.

Thanks for any help, Muggs

Muggs,

I believe the company you are referring to is Protomold.

We've used them and don't have any complaints.

Muggs,

Like Bryan said, it's Protomold. One of the requirements is that the cavity and core are machinable. That is no square corners or other types of features that have to be burned. Machinable corner radii have to make sense from a cutting tool perspective. I usually draw the line at six diameters (diameter of tool to length of cut).

I've used Protomold for multiple projects. Everything always delivered as promised. Their online quote system rocks.
