Are you Clever enough, (not me, lol)?



Main assembly consisting of:-



Micro-switch flexible sub-assembly Hydraulic cylinder flexible sub- assembly



I have a roller lever arm micro-switch that is operated by the hydraulic cylinder piston. The cylinder piston travels 150mm. For the first 115mm the is no contact between the piston and the micro-switch lever arm roller. At 115mm the piston contacts the micro-switch roller and continues to travel until the micro-switch operates; at which point the piston stops also. I also want to show the reverse action of when the piston retracts. When there is contact between the piston and the micro-switch roller until the 115mm point is reached and then there is no contact, whilst the piston continues to travel to it's start point.



How can I mate these to show this action?


Cam Mate for the roller on the switch and a concentric for the axis of the switch finally a limit mate for the piston should do it.

Make sure to set the sub-assemblies as flexible to see the motion in the main assembly.

Thanks Top for the thought,

I ended up using Animator which though not perfect, got the information across to the work shop, on how the micro-switches work in this assembly.
