Suddenly on a piece of HSS tubing that has 3 screw clearance through holes the smart fasteners (1/4-20 hex bolt)inverted themselves. I deleted them and recreated but they are now fixated on appearing upside down. There seems to be no way to correct this behaviour other than manually editing the mates.

If you notice the wrong way fasteners before you close that original SmartFastener property manager, you can expand the feature list under the hole, and RMB on the first fastener and select `Flip'.
