sp 4.0 out.... sort of!

I see what you mean about no windows installer version. However, for those of us using the InstalShield, there is a patch posted for NT/XP/2000. I have downloaded it. I am finishing up a job tomorrow and will load it after that for use with my next project.

the release notes I read said that sp4 isn't qualified for 2000 but will be in sp5....I take that to mean it hasnt been tested and debugged fully and it might be better to leave the fix till then if that is the OS you have....kind of weird for a product that has been out a while...but I guess they are doing their best.

i wonder why the download area still indicates xp/2000/nt? i can't seem to locate the release notes..

What the release notes say is that SWX 2003 is not qualified for Windows

It DOES NOT say that SWX 2003, sp4 is not qualified for Windows 2000.

I just checked and I am running Windows 2000, sp2. I am assuming that this means that I can indeed safely load sp4 for SWX. (Boy this gets kinda confusing.)

As far as Kenneth's comment about having problems finding the release notes, I had some problems finding them as well. There is a link called `more information about service packs'. I think that is what I clicked on to get to the Release Notes.

OK--so they tell us that Windows Installer is going to become the default, and "traditional" is going away... being a good boy, I switch over to Windows Installer....

And now they don't release the SP for the "default" installer???

gee--I'm feeling better about SW every day.
