Simple Hole feature was added in SolidWorks 2004. Is there a Square hole feature?
If not, anyone have a macro to do this?

What about a library feature? Seems like a good way to handle that.

If you want to do multiple instances of the same square hole, look into using a sketch driven pattern. Create your one square hole and then a sketch with points at the centers of all the other instances of it and there you go.........

You can use the Polygon tool on the Sketch toolbar. Am I missing something?
That is an option, but I was wondering if they had a feature like the "Simple Hole" feature. I guess I could write a macro that will make a polygon with 4 sides, and make one side horizontal, then cut-extrude.

That is what library features are designed for. Create a square hole the standard way and then drag and drop it into your Design Library. Next time you need a square hole, drag and drop it from the Design Library onto your part.
Or if you really want to, record it as a macro.
