SW2004 in-context multi-config not fixed

On page 147 of the SW2004 whatsnew propaganda manual, they say they have fixed the in-context multi-config thing. It does not work for me, is it fixed for anyone else?????

I tried it out during beta. The trick is to have enough configurations, similar to flexible subassemblies.

Basically, you need a configuration for each instance of the component that is different. So, instance A will have to be config A, instance B config B, and so on.

If that doesn't work, then maybe something is broken. Please make sure your VAR reports it.

Are you saying that if I have an assembly with two configs, that the in-context parts in each config have to be different parts? Currently, the in-context parts do have different configs themselves. That would make sense that they have only fixed this problem half way and advertised it as fixed the whole way.

No, you don't need two separate parts, just configurations for each instance in the assembly.

This solution to the problem makes the most sense to me. If we could do it all without configurations, we would have multiple geometric solutions for a single configuration. So which one would we show in a drawing of the part? Which one would appear when we edit the part in that configuration? This just doesn't look half fixed to me, as long as it's actually working the way they describe. I haven't taken the time to test it again since beta.
