Hello Hello,
What is the easiest, simplest, quickest, most economical way to lay #1 gauge track OUTSIDE for a 4 1/2' by 86' point to point railroad?
Thanks Tim

Treated 2x1" treated timber bolted on either side of treated 2x1" posts. Alternatively, a small trench (say 4x4") filled with small gravel.
Hire a bunch of 7, 8, or 9 graders:-) Pay them $5.00 an hour if you can get them that cheap:-) Have plenty of sodas and hamburgers for Lunch and Supper on the BBQ. Have at least one old good running locomotive there when done so they can test the track:-)
