FA: Harriman Consolidation 2-8-0 (# 6-28036)

formatting link

Through the first decade of the Twentieth Century, the 2-8-0 Consolidation was the standard wheel arrangement for most mainline freight steam locomotives. Soon after, the Consolidation was relegated to switching and branchline use, where they enjoyed a long career, with some lasting well into the final days of steam in the 1950?s.

Our new scale model of the Harriman-type Consolidation is based on one of the first designs developed by the Associated Railroads in 1902. Many of Lionel's finest features are included, such as Die-cast construction, and optional Command Control and RailSounds. Offered in prototypical Union Pacific and Southern Pacific road names, these locomotives will look great hauling anything from crack mainline freights to local mixed trains on a remote location of your layout. And even though scale-sized, the Consolidation is well-suited for either Lionel's Standard O or traditionally-sized rolling stock.

Features:

All new die-cast boiler, frame, tender body, tender frame and tender trucks, Metaldrawbar, side rods, handrails and ladders, Illuminated headlight, tender back-up light and marker lights, Traction tires, Puffing smoke unit, Engineer and fireman figures. Command controlled, RailSounds with TowerCom, CrewTalk and DynaChuff, ElectroCoupler on rear of tender, Directional lighting. Dimensions: 20 ½" Length
