If you do a little Googling, you'll find that gas-bubbles in ice-core samples are used are used to determine (amongst other things) average global temperatures going back for something like 160,000 years. Maybe it is just a coincidence, but since the industrial revolution, average global temperatures have increased at an astonishing rate (compared with the rate of increase in the previous 160,000 years). Maybe it's just another co-incidence, but the amount of CO2 has also significantly increased in that time.

Of course, it is all just co-incidence, isn't it. And there's no correlation between smoking and lung-cancer, either.

Define "significant". Compare and contrast to ice cores taken in widely different locations covering the same period, and show that the _only_ reasonable cause for the "significant increase" is the industrial revolution. Show that the levels demonstrate a bias towards industrialized areas. Show that the levels are not cyclical over even longer periods of time, as many other terrestrial data points have been proven to be. Show that the rise is not a return to a more "normal" level after an extended period of LOWER than nominal levels (perhaps related to a recent ice age?). Show that the increase in global temperature is ONLY related to industrialization, and not related to other factors such as changes in the sun or variations in Earth's orbit and/or precession.

No, it's just sloppy reasoning, leaping to unfounded conclusions, and in general REALLY bad science.

Not very scientific. But then, when there is no science to support your view, and lots of circumstantial evidence pointing the other way, I guess that generalisations and insults are about all you have ...

Then you didn't really read his response. The point is, we KNOW the Earth has been thru several warming/cooling periods, since there have been several Ice Ages.

What you're saying is that we humans caused them. I call BS on that.
