N gauge catalog

Hi. Where can I get a rather full catalog of 'n' gauge? I prefer free, but... Also, something I can hold in my hands, not a on/line.

Thanks

It ain't free, but ask to see the Walther's catalog at your local hobby store.

When you have decided it is what you need, be prepared to part with a few dollars for your own copy.

This year and last year's copies are $10, down from the usual $20.

You may also want to pick up the Walthers sale flyers while you're looking at the catalogs. They come out monthly and sometimes (usually) have excellent deals in them. Those are free, and if you want Walthers will mail them to your house.

It's been a while since I bought one - I haven't been in HO let alone N for some time.

But I would suspect the alternative would be to join one of the specialist societies, for the favourite railroad. That way you will hear about special runs, paint jobs etc that aren't generally available.

Sometimes the LHS sell a year or two old catalog for cheap!
