Wanted: Uncoupler Track

Hey there

Does any one have any Uncoupler tracks for rapido couplings?

With kadee so popular, it is hard to find these uncoupling tracks.

Well, Rapido couplers are N scale - Kadee is HO...

Horn-hook are the HO "equivalent" of Rapidos. MicroTrains is the Kadee of N scale.

So... What do you have, and what do you want?

JC, Check the Walthers site. They once had Rapido uncoupler ramps they sold. I found them for a friend that still uses Rapido couplers. They were made and available. I hope this helps.

Hey there

Good info to know ,,, Thanks,

I have N-Scale I am building and am looking for,,, Rapido,, the clumsy looking couplings (LOL).

I also am collecting for HO, when ever I find the room to set a layout up. I think I have more pieces for HO than I do N scale now.. So, I would not turn down offers for the "Horn-Hook" of HO.

Any idea which company makes (made) these? I guess they are almost obsolete.

Hello,

over here in Germany, they are still quite common. The manufacturers of model railroads and tracks (Fleischmann, Trix - possibly also Roco and others) sell track with integrated uncouplers - which is probably not what you need.

However, there are at least two manufacturers of stand-alone versions for rapido and Fleischmann couplers. They are called Herkat and Repa. If you don't find anything on the other side of the big pond, you might try the German version of Google

and search for "Repa Entkuppler" or "Herkat Entkuppler". There are a few stores in Germany, which will send stuff to the US. One of the cheaper ones is

(in English, then go "to shop" and use the search facility with the words Herkat Entkuppler. Herkat are 9,76 Euros per unit, 43,90 for 5. Although those uncouplers are IMHO rather expensive, you might consider this approach.

You will have to look for Repa yourself.

one of the shops selling them. They are expensive at 11 Euros a piece, tho.
