Delurking with a request for assistance.
8 HP B & S engine on an old Trusty rotovator. The jet fits in at an angle from the bottom of the bowl. In drilling out the old jet I damaged the thread where the jet screws in.
Have obtained a new jet but am told that the carb is no longer available.
Have tried to match the thread but it's not a UK one and the man at B&S UK said he did not know what it was
Does anyone know what type and size the thread is or even where one can obtain a tap the clean it up. There appears to be enough meat left to give this a try
