Wessex SEC has their sort out on the 24th Oct, Does Enstone clash with that? Or are we talking about next year?
Regards,
Kim Siddorn
Looking back it seems to be the first Sat in Nov. So 6/11 might be a slightly more helpful guess than "the week before Bromham" :-) I ask you: is it any wonder that this group is widely known as "the chatterers" ?! ttfn Roland

Thank you Roland ;o))
Chatterers? I find that quite pleasant and in no way detrimental. It's true, too, we are a chatty lot.

Gentlemen,
Thank you the "Chattering Classes", Peter if it was the week before Bromham then it was the weekend just gone :-))
November seems to ring a bell Roland.

I'll certainly go again - as long as we can be sure of the date!
I did really well there last time, bought all sorts of interesting stuff for not a lot.
It's going to be bitter up on that hilltop - bring yer woollies.

Kim Siddorn
Ah, but MartinP would know when Bromham was, and I was answering his question...:-))

Bromham is next weekend and guess what I'm not going. I will be at Stockwood Park with several other Club members and hopefully some steam engines.

So this is a Peter and Martin group then :-(
Yup ! :-))

When at Enstone in March they advertised the next date as the 13 November
Tony
A name appears that I have never seen before, poor Sod what does he think he is doing :-))
Thanks Tony you realise you are marked for life now :-))

On behalf of Peter and myself I must apologise unreservedly for any distress, heartache or any pain in the rear we may have caused by giving the impression that we are taking over this group. I hereby pledge that no such undertaking is envisaged for at least the next few postings but should the desire become so overwhelming we will inform the group first :-))
Martin P
Today the newsgroup, tomorrow the Internet! :-))

Thanks Tony, nice to have a sensible answer ;-). You'll be looking for Wolseleys, I'm guessing!
Might see you there.
Public service announcement ;o))
For those who've never been there, here's some directions. If you're not coming from the M5, you'll need to be creative!
Enstone Airfield Leave M5 at J 11A.
A417. SO A436.
Junction of A417/A429, TL Bourton on the Water.
A429 to Stow on the Wold. TR A436
Junction A436/A44, TR A44 - Chipping Norton.
by-pass Chipping Norton continuing on the A44.
2.9 miles after the traffic lights to the east of Chipping Norton, you enter the 30mph limit signifying the start of Enstone village.300m after the 30 limit signs turn left, signposted Church Enstone and Bicester.
Continue round the back of Enstone village, through Church Enstone, across the B4022/B4030 junction.
The entrance to the airfield is 0.75 mile on your left from this point.
You need the back entrance, not the driving school one.
I was serious about the cold. It was nice in the spring, but everyone I spoke to said how bl**dy cold it was there in November!
Regards,
Kim Siddorn
