My slide scanner packed in so I have bought a new one. This works better than the old one but now I have a new interest in copying my slides to the computer I have discovered that a lot of the slides with cardboard frames are coming apart. Does anyone have any experience in re-gluing the frames or any other way of saving them? I don't want to have the expense of plastic frames as the slides may never be used again.

you can tape them together - cut short lengths of scotch magic tape - the white translucent stuff, and stick the card mount back together again.
However, to be honest its a pain in the backside job and its a lot quicker to put them into plastic.
How many slides do you have to do?

I assume the've delaminated. If so, just glue them back together. Pritt stick will do if they're apart enough, if not Evostick can be squeezed into the gap. I prefer the solvent based glue but don't get it on the slide. I put a mirror up where I'm working with that stuff. When I think I'm good looking - it's time for some fresh air!

Thank you gentlemen!! I have tried the tape and also the Pritt. The Pritt more expensive version looks like it might work best. (Power Pritt) If things go wrong I will advise!
