You didn't have problems with your cams in the V6??

Nope. The cams - like the rest of the unit - were trouble free. I bought it with 150K on it & put a further 140K in before it died. Even then it needed head skim, radiator & head gasket, but it was getting long in the tooth by then.
I always change both oil & filter at 5,000 miles.
