Well, I have used a shim for the time being. I had measured the oversize of the keyways at 3 thou, so went and bought a cheap set of feeler gauges and cannibalised the 3 thou leaf. Two minutes with the tinsnips and hammer and drift, and the key has been tight for an hour of running now. I will still be looking for an oversize key to fit properly, all suggestions welcome. The only reply I have had to requests so far has wanted 15 quid + 5 quid p+p....
On the subject of diesel injection overhaul in Shropshire, I have found and used United Diesel Fuel Injection Services Ltd., Unit 6, Leaton Industrial Estate, Leaton, Bomere Heath, Shropshire SY4 3AP. Tel +44 (0)1939 291155, Fax +44 (0)1939 290791, e. info at uniteddiesel dot co dot uk. Ask for Keith. He did a cracking job on the No. 2 injector, so much so that I could tell that No. 1 was only along for the ride. He has got that now :-) He was only a pound dearer than my local chap used to be.
Thanks to Gary for the info about Dieselec, too.
