I believe it's still very popular Oop North, and maybe in Scotland. Barr's used to claim Irn-Bru was made from girrderrs, but I guess they can't any more under the Trade Descriptions Act 1968. Nor can Guinness claim to be good for you (even if it is).

Plenty of Irn-Bru around - I buy a bottle regularly from many outlets. Apparently it outsells Coca Cola in Scotland - the only country in the world where Coke is outsold.
