Did I? I don't think I admitted anything.

I know how to use a newsreader and have done so in the past. At the moment, as I said, I CHOOSE to use Google for the rare occasions when I want to look at this group from home. Unlike some sad individuals who seem to devote themselves 24/7 to usenet and various other groups, I have a life and a family that I like to spend time with. I very rarely use the PC at home for newsgroup acces and I simply can't be arsed to use anything other than Google, which works just firn BTW.

The simplest way is to get the item posted directly to your home address, that way the item will be sent VAT free with no if & buts. You can also confirm the exact cost while you are in the shop. This may be subject to some adjustment by agreement if the package is of an unusual size or weight - the shop staff may not the know the exact postage cost. They may for say a typical Hornby loco but not for a large trainset or similar. If you pay by credit card, you can take the receipt home with you and you will be in a very strong position if the trader tries to defraud you. Another advantage is that you don't have to carry it ;-)

For crying out loud, does the rest of the world really care about your petty schoolboy squabble? Take it to email, I don't want to know.

My dad could beat up your dad.

Yeah you're probably right mate ! I tend to stick to the thicker beers like Guinness or Kilkenny or Tenants etc etc, usually around $8 a pint here in the pubs.

Something I just read in another group reminded me of :Jerry:
