Proper Minitrix motor - slim.
Fitting something into the chassis, if you are prepared to use a file - quite high.
A small can motor, probably from the Mashima range, should fit with a little filing here and there. Motor will cost about £12 new in the UK (Branchlines in Exeter for example will do several sizes by mail order). The drive-dogs can be pulled off the Minitrix motor and fitted to the output shafts of the Mashima, or making ones own drive-dogs is a doddle (bit of brass, drill hole in it, file to approximate shape). The Mashima should run better than the original motor. There's a chance you might need a bit of K&S tube here and there to sleeve shafts up or down in diameter.
