Hi all, I've been looking at buying a cheap mini-mig for home use, mostly small stuff and plan on running .6mm wire through it. I dont think there's a lot of difference between these smaller units, none of them have much adjustability in terms of voltage, and the rollers on them look about the same. Spare parts probably arent that big of an issue for the amount of use I'd put it through.
There are a huge number of gasless welders out there, and most of them have the gun just wired straight into the body. How hard is it to convert these over to a euro style fitting so you can have a decent quality gun and be able to hook them up to gas? Work would probably not mind giving me the parts I'd need, I just want to know if its possible or not.
