readywelder review

With much talk about readywelders over the past few months I decided to pick one up. My application is two fold , I do ornamental iron repairs and wanted something portable enough to bring right to the work (not drag leads to the work) and a spool gun for in shop stuff. Well I used it the other day on a railing job and am very happy with its performance. I had to replace several balusters and replace some top rail on a railing in a crowded downtown (no parking within 2 blocks). I pulled up & double parked for 2 min while unloading and then got to work. For power I used 2 deep cycle batteries wired for 24 volts and .035 flux core, had about 10 min of arc time. It took a little time to dial it in but once I got used to the right stick out and feed rate it was a breeze. This worked out well cause otherwise I would of had to remove the railing and repaired it in the shop.

just a happy customer
