Preheat the whole beast to the point where a drop of oil flashes off. Weld using cast iron rod in short beads, peening the welds as they cool. When done, bury in sand, ash, vermiculite, or wrap in heavy wool blankets to cool slowly.

You can preheat it with a crab-pot cooker, a weed burner, or a bonfire.
